- We feel connected to our region, not only through the production of soda. We are an important participant in the social life of the municipality and the city of Inowrocław,’ emphasises the CEO of QEMETICA Soda Polska, Tomasz Molenda. - Increasing the budget of the Social Initiative Support Fund to PLN 1 million is the company's response to the ingenuity and great desire for action on the part of representatives of the local community. We want our programme to be a real tool for support and change, building stronger bonds between people and improving the quality of life of local residents. As the plant grows and undergoes an energy transformation, our involvement in the region will increase significantly.
The decision to increase the Fund's budget follows the overwhelming interest and involvement of residents in the first edition of the programme. As part of the second edition of the Community Initiatives Support Fund, QEMETICA Soda Polska plans to provide grants in three categories, tailored to the diverse needs and capabilities of applicants. The programme's budget of PLN 1 million will be distributed in the form of:
- 4 grants - each with a maximum amount of up to PLN 100,000,
- 8 grants - of up to PLN 50,000 each,
- 8 grants - of up to PLN 25,000 each.
Thanks to the diversified scale of support, the Fund provides an opportunity to implement both large-scale projects with a wide reach and smaller local initiatives, which can also significantly affect the quality of life of the region's inhabitants.
Entities operating in the Inowrocław district, with particular emphasis on those operating in the city and municipality of Inowrocław, can apply for support from the Social Initiative Support Fund.
Applications can be submitted by:
- Natural persons registered or having a permanent address of residence on the territory of Inowrocław County,
- Non-governmental and social organisations in the form of foundations and associations (both registered and ordinary),
- Housing communities and housing cooperatives.
On 17 January 2025, at the headquarters of QEMETICA Soda Polska in Inowrocław, information meetings and a consultation point are planned for entities interested in supporting and applying under the Fund. This will be an opportunity to get answers to burning questions and learn more about the details of the programme. - The Fund is supported by experts who have been coordinating social programmes for years. We want to help our local community not only financially, but also in terms of the resources available to QEMETICA,’ adds Tomasz Molenda. - We want the projects to be of the highest quality, all the more so that, along with the development of the facility, we will intensify our activities primarily for the benefit of the residents of the city and municipality of Inowrocław. We want what we implement together in the region to become a model of cooperation between companies like ours and the local community.
The Social Initiative Support Fund is one of the elements of the social responsibility strategy of QEMETICA Soda Polska, which has been associated with Inowrocław for 150 years. At the same time, the company is carrying out an energy transformation as part of the Inowrocław New Energy project, which involves, among other things: the construction of a thermal municipal waste conversion facility on the premises and a gradual shift away from coal to biomass and gas. This transformation is crucial for the continued operation of the plants and the provision of jobs for the approximately 1,600 people employed at the Company's Kujawy plants.
